A new ordinance governing bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards and other personal mobility devices will take effect in Worland on August 15.
According to a Facebook post from the Worland Police Department, Ordinance No. 888 was approved by the Worland City Council on August 4 and becomes enforceable beginning August 15.
The department said it will spend the coming week sharing easy-to-understand summaries of the ordinance on its Facebook page to help residents understand the new regulations before they take effect.
The first informational graphic highlights Chapter 5 of the Worland City Code, which establishes rules for bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, mobility devices and similar forms of transportation used on city streets, sidewalks, parks, parking lots and trails.
The department is encouraging residents to stay informed by following its Facebook page for additional updates and educational posts as the effective date approaches.
